Golf and Dancing
The golf tourney and the dance. Most are up early for the tourney. I am too but just for breakfast at Krang's. I've always felt that whacking one's balls about on a lawn is a bit strange. I'll stick to fishing, but that's because I'm an Otter. I should have slept in but I was just too wired. Rasunah drives me to the golf course and I am on time to see the wet participants return. Although Murray Booth swears he will forsake golf as a retirement sport (he lost several of Mike Pineau's balls which I am sure upset his wife to be...) I'm sure he will keep at it.
The dance was not quite what it was back then because we were mostly concerned with reconnecting with each other. A few danced, but that was more the younger crowd. I actually got asked once to dance and on reflection I am sorry I did not because it was a slow dance...a chance to hold an old friend. Otter has always been pretty shy though. I haven't changed in that respect. The first of the departures begin and there are tears. It was particularly tough to deal with the departure of Dennis and Beverly Woods.
The sad news is in...Lorraine Gradwell has left us for good. How Jim managed to function for the rest of the evening is a wonder of emotional strength, but he blows the doors off us all. I am in a state of shock and wander aimlessly about, caught up in each new circle of smiles. Everyone is taking pictures like crazy. I'd sure like to know where all of them are. There was also a list circulated asking everyone to put down their e-mail addresses. I never saw it but my own is probably far more complete than that one is anyways. The one man band does quite a remarkable job but I missed the cymbals on the knees and bass drum on the back thing. The dance shuts down at 2:00am and Otter drags his limp tail back to the motel and falls into instant slumber. We are stardust...we are golden. We have brought ourselves back to the Garden.

Here are some of the brave souls from the 60's. Not all who attended are here but it is the best shot I have. Ron Binkly, why weren't you here? There are other non-attendees I can think of too.

Some guys have all the luck. The Sirens of Shilo and Ches....geez!
Shannon McGunigal, Gwenn McCormick, Ches Sheppard and Robin Agardy

Such a beautiful couple.
Bill Blake still has the same enthusiasm for life and is such a great guy!

Here we are again. What a great group of people!

Two totally wonderful ladies. Judy Rioux (nee: Hummel) and Faye Linesman (nee: Helgason)

Two Judes. What already? It's Judy and Judy. What else am I supposed to say other than the fact that they are both cuties?

Bob Findlay, Valerie McEdwards, Janet Hughes and Glen McLean. Glen was responsible for bringing you all the first few yearbooks along with Zoe's co-operation. Actually I think Zoe had him in a headlock at the time so Glen had no choice....

Alf Hackenschmitt and Faye Linesman (nee:Helgason) Faye's enthusiasm for life still boggles my mind.

Murray Booth, a man of rare sensitivity and insight. Otter loves him a great deal. He is the stalwart Gimli from the "Lord of the Rings".

Ches Sheppard and his wife Karen. He's as athletic an affable as he ever was. Karen is such a bubble of light.

Karen Middleton. This delightful lady saw fit to make a gift for Otter. It is a "PMQ Care Package" and now resides above my monitor in between my "Canned Otter" and my "Beanie Otter".

Pam Dent and Valerie Wiesgerber. Both ladies have changed very little in appearance since high school and are still just as sweet.

Betty Emery and hubby Gary. From an earlier crowd than I come from and unfortunatly time was so compressed I didn't get to spend much time visiting with them.

Janet Hughes and Valerie McEdwards. Unfortunately the picture does neither of them proper justice.

Robin Agardy, Larry Conners and Gwenn England (ne:McCormick) This group was as thick as thieves for the duration of the reunion. Gwenn has become quite a stately woman. So has Robin.

Glen McLean and Carol Walker. Carol's sister Edith (who did not attend) was Bruce Howie's girlfriend for the longest time.

Tammi and John Pineau. This is a great shot of two very beautiful people.

Judy with hubby Mel. Another wonderful couple! If Victoria wasn't so far from me I'd take you up on your offer guys.

Pat and Ward McNeil. A fine shot of this great couple.

Anybody know this guy? He wasn't at the reunion was he?

This sorta looks like John Pineau, but John has a beard.

Theresa (Terry) Poirier, Faith Powers and Rob McLeod. Terry just cracks me up. She is moving to Mexico for good shortly but I hope she will keep in touch with us.

Otter gets all wiggly with excitement when he sees this crew. Brian and Bev Woods (nee:Whitechurch) with Faye Linesman (nee:Helgason).

Murray Booth, Faye and Wayne. Wayne was such an underdevepoped kid in high school. Now he is two separate gorillas. Must be those Charles Atlas courses....ya think?

Carol Walker and Glen McLean. Glen did so much work on the first few yearbooks that got posted. From the looks of his head though I think he needs to stay away from weed whackers.

Carol Walker and Mike Pineau. Seems Carol only dates classy guys too. Where the hell is that Crazy Glue?

Ron Flamand and Faye Lineseman (nee: Helgason) Cute knee Faye!

Mike and John Pineau.

Otter and Faye. I look a bit crispy but that's because she kissed my ear and it's still burning.

Larry, Faith and Terry. Terry is such a brat! Fine! Go live in Mexico!!!!

Pat Parsons, Denise Pike and Kay Schrott.
